- Caption "Common or Outeniqua Yellowwood, P. falcatus, outside 36 Somerset Street, Grahamstown, May 1977, house but one from northern corner of High Street. Prof. J. V. L. Rennie, 1977.04.11, said that the tree had been planted by a Dr. Louw, local dentist who wanted a tree in front of his house. Rennie knew the tree to have been planted soon after he came to Grahamstown in 1931, say 1932-34. Thus in photo is about 43-45 years old. Tree might have bee topped by municipal workers at some time. Bole diameter at 1 metre to the ground = 406 mm on 10.05.1977."
