This digitised archival document records the Rhodes University Graduation Ceremony held on Thursday, 31 March 2005, at the 1820 Settlers National Monument in Grahamstown. The programme identifies the university’s leadership and faculty deans and documents certificates, diplomas, undergraduate degrees, honours qualifications, master’s degrees and doctorates. A highlight was the conferral of an honorary Doctor of Laws degree on the Honourable Dr Justice Navanethem Pillay. The programme also records university awards recognising research and teaching excellence, including medals awarded to Professors Vivian Anne de Klerk and Christiaan Edward Johannes Botha, and Trevor Laurence Amos.
