This digitised archival document records the Rhodes University graduation ceremony held on Friday, 13 April 1973, in the University Great Hall. The nine-page programme identifies university officeholders, outlines the ceremonial proceedings and records honorary degrees awarded to Chief Justice Ogilvie Thompson (Doctor of Laws) and Professor Emeritus R. W. Varder (Doctor of Science). It lists graduates across the Faculties of Science, Commerce, Social Science and Law, documenting qualifications in chemistry, mathematics, physics, microbiology, pharmacy, accounting, economics and social work.
