"No one cares for me and they give me leaves to wear instead of cotton clothes." This is the complaint of a rejected wife whose husband is away working, or of a widow who has been thrown back on her own meagre resources. The leader, Elena Josio, calls out her own name at the end of the song. Another explanation was that the dead person had not been properly clothed in a shroud for burial. Funeral song with clapping.
