The lute is made of a 4 and a half inch section of the lower part of an Ankole ox horn. These cattle have very large horns. The oval shaped membrane is python skin pegged into the horn and the bridge is reed. The string is of raffia palm. "While asleep one night, I dreamt of my love and had a shock when I awoke to find she was not there." Love song, with Ndingidi one string lute.
