Description / content note: The notes of this instrument had holes pierced at one end to enable them to be fixed to the banana stalk by slips of bamboo. The beaters are made of a light fibrous wood (Dukwa) and are called Yokobu. The wood used to make the notes is called Ngula, and is also used to make slit drums. It is red when cut. It is sometimes used, they say, to make furniture for Europeans. Topical song with Kpingbi, six note xylophone, loose notes, one peg each, on banana stalks.
