The player of the second drum was blind and had been so since childhood. The hero of the song apparently went to find work outside Nyasaland in Southern Rhodesia or elsewhere, but on his first journey he failed to bring back with him the coveted bicycle. On his second journey he was successful. Bari dance with 2 Khunto cylindrical drums, pinned and weighted.
