Description / content note
-
"Come, come out you child. Come, come outside, that the people may see you. Don't you hear now? Why don't you come? If you were a bird you could have flown away. The year when my father died I did not wail. What must I do? What is it child? The fish eagle wailed, a bird of the heavens. He died at Cilanga. Come out child, there are people oustide." It is suggested that this song refers to a girl being shy after her initiation or 'coming out' into public life as a young woman. Self delectative song with Sansi (Mbira).
