- Summit of low heavily-vegetated dune beside very rocky coast. A rough count gave about 115 plants of Gasteria acinacifolia, thirty-five of which were in full grown flower within an area of about 30 x 10 square metres. Growing in dense calf-high windswept shrub. In very sandy soil.
