Looking up the uMthaleni Valley, Kei Road, King William's Town The Scaly-throated Honeyguide ranged over the whole area but mostly in the forests and along bushy streams.

'B' was main call-site of Lesser Honeyguide; 'C' was a minor call-site of Lessers; 'D' was the main call-site of Greater Honeyguide. The Scaly-throated's call-site was in the forest valley just off the bottom of the photograph."

Looking westwards from eastern kop to the western kop of the 3 Coega Kops A ghastly scar on western kop of a stone-quarry on its southern face from which material was taken for the Port Elizabeth harbour. Motherwell township in middle distance with the Bethelsdorp hills in the far distance. The flat bushveld between Motherwell & the kop will certainly disappear under Motherwell's expansion.
